Maryland abolishes the death penalty

After the passage of a law (the Democratic Governor Martin O'Malley) to the House of Representatives (88 votes against 56), Maryland became the eighteenth U.S. state to abolish the death penalty. No death penalty or execution, have been made since 2005.
